Historic Homes of Yorkshire - George Hepworth From our archives, we know the following: He lived at 20 Bradford Road, Brighouse. He was a member of The Yorkshire Photographic Union. The lectures were written and presented by Mr Hepworth He kept a list and newspaper cuttings of the dates and venues where the slides were shown from 14th February 1913 to around 1924. An article dated 4th March 1924 says that on account of illness, a colleague, Mr S. Greenwood of Hebden Bridge gave the lecture. Mr Greenwood continued to be a stand-in through to 1925. 28th January 1926 at Brighouse Photographic Society is the last recorded lecture given by Mr Hepworth . He had certainly died by 1944 because a letter from Halifax Antiquarian Society to Mr Greenwood refers to the late Mr George Hepworth. Mr Greenwood, a member of the Hebden Bridge Literary and Scientific Society continued to present the lectures into the 1940s.
