In September Shortly after a fire broke out at a gas facility in Vaca Muerta, Argentina, an Antonov Airlines An-124-100 flew mobile crane and fire extinguishing equipment from George Bush International Airport (IAH) to Presidente Peron International Airport (NQN) for Crane Worldwide.
The combined weight of the well control equipment was 70 tonnes, and included booms, tracks, Control stations and water pumps.
The equipment was loaded and ready for departure within 48 hours of the air transportation Agreement being signed. Transporting of Airbus Defence and Space’s newest satellite, ANASIS-II from Toulouse to the USA.
The satellite container used to deliver ANASIS-II measured eleven metres in length and weighed 18 tonnes. Including launch equipment, it was part of an overall payload of 36 tonnes. Unique cargo deliveryof two Max Bögl TSB maglev trains from Munich, Germany to Chengdu, China. Taking into consideration the dimensions of the light weight high tech train sections as 12.6 x 2.8 x 3.7 m per section and total payload of about 36 tons of the two sections such transportation was possible only with AN-124-100 aircraft.
