Dr. Michael Roschlau, PhD., President and CEO of the Canadian Urban Transit Association; Co-Chair of the Canadian Motor Carrier Passenger Council. He serves on the Federation of Canadian Municipalities’ Green Municipal Fund Council, and the Ontario Public Transit Association’s Board of Directors. Dr. Roschlau serves on the Federation of Canadian Municipalities’ Green Municipal Fund Council, and the Ontario Public Transit Association’s Board of Directors. Mr. Joe Cortright, Senior Advisor and Economist of CEOs for Cities; President and principal economist for Impressa; and a non-resident Senior Fellow at the Brookings Institution. He is a consultant specializing in regional economic analysis, innovation and industry clusters. He has served as an advisor to state and local governments, private businesses, foundations and advocacy groups.

Mr. Ron Fisher, RFisher Consult. At the Federal Transit Administration he served as director of the office responsible for administering a program of discretionary capital funding of roughly $1.6 billion a year. He has worked with project sponsors, their consultants, members of Congress and their staff, and high-level staff within the U.S. Department of Transportation.

Mr. Graham Carey P.E., AICP, Project Director of the York Consortium 2002, responsible for the design and construction of the Viva project in York, Ontario. He has served as an adviser on numerous BRT projects in North America and abroad, including 2010 World Cup, South Africa; Monterey, and Gainesville. More recently Graham led the award winning Eugene EmX BRT project.

Mr. Alan Hoffman, Founder of the Mission Group, a transportation and land use planning firm based in San Diego, California. He applies advanced market research techniques to help guide the development of public transportation, land use planning, urban development, and long-range planning strategies in cities across the United States and throughout the world.

Dr. Robert Cervero, Consultant on transport projects, both in the U.S. and abroad, works in the area of sustainable transportation policy and planning, focusing on the nexus between urban transportation and land-use systems. He is Professor of City and Regional Planning and Director of the University of California Transportation Center at the University of California, Berkeley.

Mr. Ted Hlynsky, Vice President of Claims Control and Safety Operations for Manitoba Public Insurance, a non-profit Crown Corporation that provides basic automobile coverage to the Province of Manitoba. His division is responsible for loss prevention, physical damage management, claims control costs, road safety programs, driver education and regulatory control.

Hon. Ron Lemieux, Minister of Local Government, Province of Manitoba. Premier appointed Ron Lemieux Minister responsible for Local Government in 2009. Recently re-elected and representing the constituency of Dawson Trail, the Hon. Ron Lemieux continues to serve in this capacity, utilizing his past experiences as Minister of Infrastructure and Transportation, Minister of Education and Youth, Minister of Culture, Heritage and Tourism and Sport as well as the Minister of Consumer and Corporate Affairs to the service of all Manitoba Municipalities.

Mr. Bill Menzies, B.Comm (Hons), MBA, is Winnipeg Transit's Manager of Service Development and has worked in public transit for over 30 years. His responsibilities include service planning, scheduling, passenger information systems, marketing, rapid transit development, implementation of the city's transit improvement program, and Winnipeg's first BRT project, the Southwest Rapid Transit Corridor.

Ms. Alina Kelly, President of AKelly Consulting. She managed the communications program that launched Viva, York Region’s rapid transit program, and was a member of the team providing strategic planning, and technical and professional advice for transportation, land use and Environmental Assessment studies related to Toronto’s rapid transit expansion plans in the 1990s.

Dr. Michael Shiffer, Vice President, Planning & Policy at TransLink is responsible for planning activities that support most transportation modes in the Vancouver region. Formerly Vice President, Planning at the Chicago Transit Authority, for over 20 years Shiffer held faculty posts in planning at the University of Illinois, Chicago and at MIT.

Mr. Bruce McCuaig, President & CEO of Metrolinx (The Regional Transportation Authority of the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area). He served the Ontario Public Service first in the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing, and then for 15 years in the Ministry of Transportation, most recently as Ontario’s Deputy Minister of Transportation.
