The weekly kerbside recycling collection service will continue throughout the Christmas and New Year holiday period, except on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day . This means that there will be changes to the day some residents’ recycling is collected. Some recycling collections will take place a day early, some a day later than usual and some collections will take place on a Saturday. Full details are given in letters which have been delivered to all Sefton residents.

2 For 2012, the green wheelie bin collection for garden waste will be suspended from the middle of December and will return in January 2013.

During the first grey wheelie bin collections in the New Year, residents can also leave up to three bags of side waste which will be collected.

Christmas tree recycling:

Sefton Council is also running a free Christmas tree recycling collection service in the New Year. For further details, or to make a booking, call 0845 140 0845.
