Annual donation revenue, which contributes to recruitment efforts and helping fund partner school systems, has increased from $13M in 2011 to $54M in 2019 (395%). Impact Overview TFALL improves impoverished education systems globally by hiring top graduates and professionals as teachers in their respective geographies. TFALL’s program benefits students by providing better quality education, and provide teachers rich cultural and leadership experience that persuade them to remain involved in making impact through education throughout their careers. Student Outcomes: TFALL trains participants to become effective teachers which can strengthen student performance. As an example, students randomly assigned to Teach for America teachers’ middle and high school math classrooms scored 0.07 standard deviations higher on end-of-year math assessments than students assigned to comparison teachers. This impact is equivalent to an additional 2.6 months of school for the average student nationwide4. Teacher Outcomes: TFALL has produced many social leaders and educators. The Office for Standards in Education, England’s body for school inspections, rated TFALL’s Teach First Leadership Development Program outstanding in 41 of 48 categories5. After completing two years in education over half of TFALL teachers choose to remain involved with the education system. For example, 50 alumni6 have been recognized on the Forbes 30 Under 30 list since 2012 for creating enterprises that improve education. Financial Overview Due to the large amount of donations, or contributions, TFALL’s net income has been positive since 2011 ($22M in 2019) and currently has $12M in cash-on-hand. 77% of expenses include supporting subsidiaries’ training and recruiting efforts and wages to staff.
