COVID-19 FOOD SECURITY VOUCHER PROGRAM INFORMATION

The food security voucher program is available to vulnerable populations within NCC’s membership that are experiencing challenges to food security due to fixed or low income or even loss of income due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Phase four of this program starts on July 5, 2021 and runs to August 31, 2021.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA • Be a NunatuKavut Community Council (NCC) Member • Be at least 16 years of age living in your own household • Household gross monthly income: o Single: $2,000 or less a month o Families with no dependents: $3,000 or less a month o Families with up to two dependents: $4,000 or less a month o Families with greater than two dependents: $4,500 or less a month

Note: a dependent refers to a child or adult living in the applicant’s household that the applicant supports financially.

VOUCHER AMOUNTS Single: $100 Families with no dependents: $150 Families with up to two dependents: $200 Families with greater than two dependents: $300

VOUCHER TYPE Members living in will receive a gift card from a local grocery store. Clients living outside Labrador will receive an electronic Walmart gift card, where possible.
