ARCC Missional Community Commitment

What we believe about the Gospel: The Gospel is the power of God for salvation by grace through faith in the person and work of Christ. He has saved us for the purpose of glorifying God by making disciples whose identity and joy are found and rooted in the gospel of Jesus. (Go through the first 3-weeks of “Gospel Basics” from the “Meeting to Mission” study first.) https://saturatetheworld.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/04/saturate-from-meeting-to-mission.pdf

What we believe about Missional Communities:

We believe that Missional Communities exist as the most conducive contexts for discipleship and mission within the normal rhythms of everyday life. A Missional Community is primarily oriented and formed around a common mission (people group), not community. In other words, it does not exist primarily for its own benefit. It is within each MC that it will become normative to:

• Gather together regularly in different ways to share a meal, study the Scriptures, care for one another, and practice hospitality to outsiders. • Scatter to intentionally form relationships through regular, meaningful contact with those outside the .

Common Mission: Who is God calling us to make disciples of? ______

How oen will we gather together as an MC? (Bi-Weekly minimum) ______ARCC Missional Community Values We believe that these 4 values should be normative in the life of every Christian and are expressed more fully within the daily, weekly, and monthly rhythms of a Missional Community. It is impossible to fully accomplish all of these values in a once-a-week meeting, so think about how your regular rhythms will be formed by these 4 values inside and outside of the full-group, weekly gathering:

• Word-Being a community committed to being hearers and doers of the Word of God. -How will we commit to study the Scriptures together? Individually? -How will we commit to obey the Scriptures together? Individually? -Seek to answer these questions through the text: Who is God? What has He done through Jesus? Who am I in light of this? What has God called me to do?

-Being a community who communes with the Lord regularly through public and private prayer.

-How often will we specifically pray for unbelieving friends, family, neighbors, coworkers, etc. together?

-How will we actively challenge one another to pursue those relationships as the outworking of our for them?

• Demonstrate-Being a community committed to demonstrating the Gospel by meeting needs, doing life together as a family, and thereby giving others a tangible glimpse of what the kingdom of God is like.

-How will we consistently show our MC, common mission, and those we encounter in everyday life what the kingdom of God is like? What is being in the family of God like? -How will we commit to rearrange our schedules to make disciples of the people in our common mission?

-What are the everyday needs of the people group God has called us to? -What will we celebrate together as a missional community? (Birthdays, baptisms, national and local holidays, etc.) -How often will we simply eat dinner together as a family? How often will we eat dinner together as a means to invite those outside of the family of God?

• Declare-Being a community who consistently speaks the good news of the Gospel of Jesus to one another and those who are not yet .

-How often will our DNA groups meet? (Bi-weekly minimum)

-What study or training do we need to go through as a group in light of where we all need to grow in Gospel Fluency? (Theology, Evangelism, Prayer, etc.)

As a Missional Community, we agree to these things:

(In Summary)

------

We will commit to do life together from ______to ______, 2019.
