Trillium Phase III - Multi-Use Pathway Contract No. ISD17-5066

CONSTRUCTION NOTICE July 2018

Dear Resident/Business,

In August 2018, the City of will begin construction on Phase III of the Trillium Multi-Use Pathway in your neighbourhood. This project will provide the final cycling link from Community, Dow's Lake and to the Carling Transit Station.

WHO: CSL Group Limited has been retained by the City of Ottawa to construct the project.

WHY: This work is needed to improve the connectivity of the multi-use pathway network in your neighbourhood.

WHAT: The City recently completed 2 kilometres of new pathways along the east side of the O-Train Trillium Line, which currently connects the Pathway to Dow's Lake. This project will complete the final missing link between this recently completed pathway to . This missing link will complete connectivity along a 10 kilometre section of Cross-Town Bikeway Route 6.

WHEN: The work is to commence in August 2018 and is anticipated to take approximately eight weeks.

WHERE: Construction will take place on the parcel of land bordered by , , Prince of Wales Drive and the O-Train Trillium Line Corridor. The new multi-use pathway will run from Carling Avenue to Prince of Wales Drive and continue east along the north side of Prince of Wales Drive to the Preston Street intersection.

Construction Disruptions The Contractor will take every precaution to minimize interruptions to the everyday life of your family and/or operation of your business, but, as you can appreciate, there may be some inconvenience during the course of the work, such as traffic delays, dust, and noise. Pathway and Sidewalk Closures The existing gravel pathway connecting Carling Avenue and Prince of Wales will be closed during construction. The sidewalk on the north side of Prince of Wales between Preston Street and the bridge over the O-Train will also be closed during construction. A signed detour will be in place to direct pathway users around the area. Vehicular access to and from the Dow’s Lake parking lot will be maintained at all times.
