Delgado represent Benelux at IMCOM-Europe Best Warrior competition Special to the Gazette Installation management IMCOM-Europe announced 1 the winners of this year's Best Warrior Competition during a ceremony held March 24 at Baumholder Military Community, in Germany. Sgt. Jeremy Lucena, from U.S. Army Garrison Bavaria, is Installation Management Command-Europe NCO of the Year, and Spc. Nicholas N. Kernen, from USAG Ansbach, is IMCOM-Europe Soldier of the Year. The three-day competition tested the warfighters' physical, mental and soldiering abilities of 9 participants. Sgt. Jacobus Wood, assigned to the USAG Benelux Military Police in Brussels, and Spc. Jacqueline Delgado, USAG Benelux MP in Chièvres gave their all to represent the U.S. Army Garrison Benelux as best as possible. "They did an outstanding job representing our command and actually both came in as the runner up in their respective categories. That means they both have to continue to train just in case the winners cannot go to the IMCOM competition," said U.S. Army Garrison Benelux Command Sgt. Maj. Samara Pitre. "I was very proud of how hard they pushed themselves in every event, never quitting in 20spite of how tired they were or how miserable the conditions were. The Army Emergency Relief campaign kicks off in Chièvres By Julie Piron USAG Benelux Public Affairs On Feb. 9, 2018, the annual Army Emergency Relief campaign was launched in Chièvres through a Kick-Off meeting and a training session. Michael Doorbal and Wallace Turner from USAG Benelux Army Community Services provided a briefing on the importance of the AER program, creating greater awareness and understanding of the programs and benefits. AER is a private nonprofit organization created in 1942, with the mission to provide emergency financial assistance to Soldiers and their Families.
