Zoom Platform
The invitational will be run through the Zoom platform, following the Breakout Room format that will be used during the competitive season. Coaches and Judges will check in 30 minutes prior to the round in a separate Zoom Meeting to receive instructions, while all competitors may immediately proceed to the Main Zoom Meeting to wait for Breakout Room Assignments. Space within the Main Zoom Meeting will be limited – each team will be given 14 spaces in the meeting. Any remaining spaces may be provided to your team for spectator use upon request and availability. During registration, please note if your team will not require the full 14 spaces in each round. Additional Zoom guidance relating to camera and microphone etiquette, as well as instructions for accessing the Zoom meetings, will be provided at a later date.

Team Pairings
The Royal Rumble is a power-matched invitational. Round 1 pairings will be made in advance at random, whereas Round 2 pairings will be made immediately after the prior round based on win-loss record and point differentials. Teams are guaranteed to go one round on each side. Best efforts will be made to avoid pairing teams that meet each other in the early Regional rounds. However, note that this is not a region-protected tournament, and such pairings are not guaranteed.
Pairings will be provided to the Coaches both via email and during the pre-round Coaches Meetings.
5 Tournament Format (cont.)
Ballots
Judges will complete an electronic ballot, which includes sections for written feedback. PDF copies of these ballots will be provided to the coaches via email at the conclusion of the tournament.
Individual Awards
Individual Awards will be presented to the top 10 attorneys and the top 10 witnesses during the Awards Ceremony. Each Judge will rank the top three attorneys and witnesses from each round. The ranks will be assigned points based upon the table below, which will be tabulated after Round 2.
Rank 1 5 points Rank 2 3 points Rank 3 2 points
