    2009-08-18 16:49 CEST Sjöström, Alshammar och Nystrand tävlar i FINA/Arena Swimming World Cup 2009 De f n bästa svenska simmarna kommer att tävla i årets sex deltävlingar av FINA/Arena Swimming World Cup som går i Durban, Rio de Janeiro, Moskva, Stockholm, Berlin och Singapore. Årets World Cup-tävlingar har större förutsättningar att samla fler ur världseliten än föregående säsong då fokus låg på OS. Bl a får vi se åttafaldige OS-guldmedaljören, Michael Phelps, tävla i Stockholm den 10-11 november där Marieke Guehrer, förra World Cup säsongens totaletta också enligt förhandstipsen lär dyka upp. Therese Alshammar, föregående World Cup säsongs totaltvåa har revansch att utkräva på Marieke Guehrer, som också slog henne i fjärilsimsfinalen på 50 meter i Rom.
