1 What is ExoMars?
The ExoMars mission is part of a larger ESA programme called Aurora

Mars is a key focus as it has it is within the “habitable band” with regards to the sun

3 How Do You Design a Mars Rover?
Key Design Drivers: • LOW temperatures (-70 °C at night to +5 °C during the day in Summer!) • Harsh Radiation Environment • Dusty Images © – © Images Hutty Abbie • Landing! (Including unknown terrain at landing site) • Driving (Including slopes, bumps, and drops) • Inorganic - Planetary Protection!
Key Mission Objectives: • Look for life • Look for conditions for life past or present, Characterise environment for future missions
