Williams had served as the head wrestling coach at Adrian College since November 2014, where he restarted the program and led the Bulldogs in their first season of competition in 31 years in 2015-16. He previously was an assistant coach at Michigan State, along with Chandler, for eight seasons (2005-13).

• Former Central Michigan All-American and U.S. Senior Nationals Champion Wynn Michalak enters his fourth as Spartans’ assistant wrestling coach. One of the most successful wrestlers in Central Michigan his- tory, Michalak was a four-time Mid-American Conference Champion (2005-08), three-time MAC Wrestler of the Year (2006-08), and a three-time NCAA All-American (2005, 2006, 2008), including a runner-up finish at 197 pounds in 2008. He won the 2015 U.S. Senior Nationals title at 97 kg/213 pounds on Dec. 19, 2015, in Las

MILKOVICH INDUCTED INTO MSU HALL OF FAME THIS WEEK’S SCHEDULE Former wrestling standout Tom Milkovich was among five Spartans inducted into the Michigan State Athletics Hall of Fame on Thursday, Oct. 24. Milkovich was joined in the 2019 Hall of Fame Class by Dan Bass (football), Karen Dennis (track & field), Mike Donnelly (hockey) and Mike Robinson (men’s basketball). Milkovich etched January 10: Michigan State at Michigan his name in the record books during his time at Michigan State from 1969-73, claiming a national championship Illinois at Penn State in 1972 at 142 pounds and earning four Big Ten Tournament titles after going undefeated in all four years of Iowa at Indiana wrestling in Big Ten action. Omania came out hot in his Round of 32 match against Italy’s Ignazio Sanfilippo, scoring a headlock and arm throw in the first two minutes on his way to a 13-3 win and a spot in the Round of 16.

Omania, who made his third World Championships appearance in Tallinn, faced off against bronz Xin Huang INTERMAT RANKINGS of China in the bronze medal match.
