Project Edison

This project I really like. It's a great idea to encourage children to speak English and improve their overall English. Project Edison in our school is every year and every time and I greatly enjoyed it. Although they are often the same states, but each time it's different with different students. This time came to our school six studens and these six students were amazing. They were from the following countries: Brazil, Georgia, Taiwan, China, Malaysia, Indonesia. During the presentation, as well as throughout the project, we had a great opportunity to meet new people from other countries, the countries themselves, their culture, customs and meal which we tasted at the end of the whole week. I look forward to next year, but I will never forget this amazing and wonderful experience.

Project Word started February 13, it finished 17 February 2017. This year six students arrived. They came to us from Brazil, Indonesia, Georgia, Taiwan, China, and Malaysia. It was a great experience for all of us. Each of the students told us something interesting and new about their country. Some things we already knew. We could dance their dances. The project was good and interesting. We liked Indonesia and Taiwan. On Friday they said goodbye to them and we could taste their food as well. When we did not understand something we would not be afraid to ask. Students were very nice and kind. The project was just amazing and we look forward to meet another students next year.

I think it was very instructive and full of information. One thing I did not like. I think it is every year, in addition to details about the sam, because the students are from similar or the same countries. But like every year I loved it. This year to our school came six countries. Of some classes has been chosen some people who spent time with the students and helped them during the whole week. Irina and I have cared for a girl from Georgia. This presentation was probably my favourite. On Thursday we had an afternoon cooperative cooking with the students. I learned a lot of new recipes from other countries. The next day we walked around in groups and met all students who cooked for us their traditional food. Perhaps the most tasty were special chocolate balls. Their recipe is simple. Mix condensed milk with the chocolate and allow to stir until it connects absolutely. Then it put it onto a plate and let it cold in a cool place. Then roll out small balls that are wrapped in coconut. This I liked most. I think a lot of students have learned many new things. I really enjoyed it and I am already looking forward to the next year when I want to help again. Grade 8 B

OUR FEELINGS

Last week at our school was held project World. This project attended the fourth till the nineth classes. Six students from different countries went here. Pupils from the eighth and the nineth classes cared for them. Students prepared presentation about their country and they showed them to the others classes. Presentation were really interesting and informative. We cared for students and we found out about their families and how people live in their certain countries. The best student for us was Cara from Taiwan. We liked each presentation. On Thursday we cooked with others students. At the first we cooked with Cara. We cut onions and then we went to help Tamara (this student was from Georgia). She cooked potatoes with vegetables (carrots, peppers, aubergines…). This was the first time for her. She cooked delicious food. On Friday was held “Global village”. It means that every country has one place – stand and classes go and watches some videos, play some games and taste food, which they have cooked. Pupils translated to smaller children, what students say and they helped foreigners. Somebody showed their traditional clothes and somebody showed how looks their writing, for example Chinese, Georgian. We really enjoyed it. Foreigners were likeable and friendly. We are glad that we could help them. We have learnt good understanding. We look forward to meet other students from another countries next year.
