ATHLETIC TRAINING

Athletic training is an allied health profes- sion, which deals with the care of the phys- ically active. Athletic trainers are specifical- ly educated in prevention of athletic injuries and to recognize, evaluate, and assess athletic injuries. Athletic trainers provide immediate care to injuries as well as provide appropriate treatment and reha- bilitation to those injuries if the need aris- es. At LaGrange College, the athletic train- ing staff's mission is to provide the best possible care to the student-athletes at LaGrange College. The new athletic training room is equipped with various modalities to aid the athletic training staff in their attempts to return the Panthers to the playing field or court. In addition to a hydrotherapy room, treatment space, taping space, and a rehab area, the athletic training room has a physi- cian’s exam room. The Southern Center for Orthopedics are the team doctors for the athletic department and hold clinics to see the athletes in the athletic training room throughout the academic year Athletic Training Staff; from left: Paul Wolkoff, Eva Beaulieu and Rob Dicks Assisant Coach Assistant Coach Keita Placide Mike Petite Placide will assist Geeter this Petite begins his fourth sea- season on the men’s side. Panther Field, Home of LaGrange College Soccer

LaGrange College plays its home games on beautiful Panther Field, a 120 yard by 80 yard Bermuda grass pitch with seating for over 500 fans. Excellent light- ing, attractive landscaping and ample parking helps make Panther Field one the finest collegiate playing facilities in the Southeast. Over the past few years LaGrange has hosted several conference tourna- ments and hopes to host future NCAA regional matches in the future. The adjacent Callaway Education Building houses the Panthers' training facilities, locker rooms and an aux- illary weight room. The building has convenient rest- room facilities for fans and a lounge area. All in all, the Panther Field complex is a great place to play and watch soccer.
