95.8 CAPITAL FM IS LONDON’S FAVOURITE COMMERCIAL RADIO STATION

- Over 1.9 million people now tune in each week to 95.8 Capital FM, making ’s number 1 commercial radio station, ahead of Magic, Kiss and Radio 1.

95.8 CAPITAL FM IS LONDON’S FAVOURITE COMMERCIAL BREAKFAST SHOW

- 1.1 million people now tune in each week to the 95.8 Capital FM Breakfast Show with Dave Berry and Lisa Snowdon, 211,000 more than Radio One’s Nick Grimshaw.

HEART 106.2 IS LONDON’S SECOND MOST POPULAR COMMERCIAL BREAKFAST SHOW

- New host Emma Bunton and Jamie Theakston have added 125,000 listeners to Heart’s Breakfast Show since the arrival of the Spice Girl in January. The show now has an audience of 768,000.

HEART AND CAPITAL ACROSS THE UK

- Both the Heart and Capital Networks remain the number 1 and number 2 commercial radio stations (respectively) in the UK, with Capital growing to a reach of over 6.9 million listeners a week, and Heart attracting an audience of over 7.2 million listeners a week.

- Capital Yorkshire celebrates its best ever Rajar results, with a weekly audience of 1.13 million, an increase of 38,000 listeners quarter on quarter.

- Heart West Midlands celebrates 736,000 listeners tuning in each week, over 35,000 more people than last quarter.

CLASSIC FM

- The ‘UK Radio Brand of the Year’ at this year’s Sony Awards, Classic FM records an impressive set of Rajar results, increasing its reach, share and hours both quarter on quarter and year on year.

- With a weekly audience of 5.6 million people, listening for an average of 7.1 hours each week, Classic FM firmly retains its position as the UK’s favourite classical music station.

- Alan Titchmarsh has given a particularly strong performance, with 1.11 million people tuning into the show each week, an increase of 132,000 since last quarter.

LBC 97.3

- LBC 97.3 home of ‘Call Clegg’, the Deputy Prime Minister’s weekly phone-in show, has recorded an increase in reach of almost 30,000 listeners quarter on quarter. The station now has 931,000 listeners tuning in each week, its highest reach for over a year.

- Nick Ferrari at Breakfast has added 31,000 listeners quarter on quarter, now attracting 582,000 Londoners each week.

XFM UK

- XFM UK celebrates an 11% rise in listeners, with just under 1 million people tuning in every week, an increase of 96,000 listeners since last quarter.
