Sri Ch.Nageswara Rao, Madhapur, Hyderabad has filed a Complaint dated 23-08-2018 which was received by this Commission on 24-08-2018 for not getting the information sought by him from the PIO / The Deputy Tahsildar, Gandipet Mandal, Ranga Reddy District

The brief facts of the case as per the Complaint and other records received along with it are that the Complainant herein filed an application dated 11-06-2018 before the PIO requesting to furnish the information under Sec.6(1) of the RTI Act, 2005, on the following points mentioned in his application annexed. TSIC

The Public Information Officer has not furnished the information to the Complainant.

As the Complainant did not receive the required information from the PIO even after 30 days of filing his application, he preferred this Complaint before the Commission requesting to arrange to furnish the information sought by him u/s 18(1) of the RTI Act, 2005.

The Complaint was taken on file and notices were issued to both the parties for hearing on 12-2-2020.

On 12-2-2020 the case is called. The complainant is absent. Notice sent to the complainant is returned with the endorsement “addressee left. H/R/sender”. The Public Information Officer, Naib Tahsildar, Gandipet Mandal is present. The Public Information Officer, Naib Tahsildar, Rajendranagar Mandal is present.

The Public Information Officer submitted that after formation of Gandipet Mandal from Rajendranagar Mandal, the records pertaining to Gandipet Mandal are kept in Rajendranagar Mandal only for security reasons. The then Public Information Officer through letter dated 11.06.2018 transferred the application U/s 6(3) to the Public Information Officer, O/o the Tahsildar, Rajendranagar Mandal for necessary action. The Public Information Officer further submitted that information sought at point no.2 is made ready and the same will be furnished to the complainant. With regard to point no.1 the application is once again transferred to the Public Information Officer, Rajendranagar Mandal.

The Public Information Officer, Naib Tahsildar, Rajendranagar Mandal submitted that he will verify the records and furnish the information sought at point no.1 to the complainant.

Heard the Public Information Officers and perused the records.

The complainant at point No.1 is seeking entire file arising out of two references of the District Collector, R.R. District and Dy. Collector and Tahsildar, Rajendranagar. Mandal. The Public Information Officer Rajendranagar Mandal assured to verify the records and furnish available information for point no.1.

The Commission directs the Public Information Officer, Naib Tahsildar, Gandipet Mandal to furnish the information made ready with regard to point no.2 to the complainant forthwith and submit compliance report to the Commission.

The Public Information Officer, Rajendranagar Mandal is directed to verify the records and furnish available information with regard to point no.1 to the complainant, as assured, within ten days from the date of receipt of this order and submit compliance report to the Commission.

With the above directions, the complaint is closed.
