Local Bus Service to As you are aware Stagecoach discontinued the regular bus service from to Immingham in January 2019 leaving residents to rely on the 450 service and the Call Connect demand responsive transport service. Since then we have been working hard with residents and our Transport Team to find a cost effective means of providing public transport in the area. As well as improving the service from South Killingholme we also wanted to provide a daily scheduled service for East Halton and North Killingholme. We are pleased to inform you that we have been able to integrate a fixed route Call Connect service with the scheduled 450 service to provide a more regular service to and from Immingham.

This service will be provided for a trial period from 10 June 2019 to 31 August 2019 during which time usage will be reviewed. This service will become permanent if justified by passenger numbers.

We have enclosed a timetable for the integrated 450 service/Call Connect route. The Call Connect (purple) bus will pick up at the following locations every day Monday to Friday:

East Halton: Mill Lane (Outside School), King Street, Junction Of Station Road, Townside, Black Bull

North Killingholme: Church Lane, Village Hall, East Ha Lton Road, North Of Vicarage Lane

South Killingholme: Greengate Lane, Play Area, Town Street, Near The Surgery

Immingham: County Hotel, Civic Centre, Bluestone Inn

At any point along this route passengers can stop the bus as a hail and ride service. The return buses will also use these stops or drop off along the route. Once the Call Connect bus arrives in Immingham it will revert to its demand responsive role and can be booked as normal. This service gives South Killingholme residents the option of combining journeys with the 450 service and booking journeys with Call Connect. Similarly residents of East Halton and North Killingholme can combine the fixed route service and booked journeys with Call Connect. Residents are urged to use this service whenever possible as regular use will help to sustain and perhaps improve the service in the future. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you require further information about this service.
