The two noble Knights Rinaldo D' Angarano and Vieri di Vallonara fell both in love with the beautiful daughter of the Governor of Marostica, Taddeo Parisio and wanted to fight a duel for this beauty in a bloody battle. The Governor didn't want that one of the two brave, young men in struggle would be killed and so he forbade the duel. Who should get the hand of the beautiful Lionora now? The governor ordered that the two adversaries on the large parade ground had to play in a game of chess with live figures in order to get the hand of Lionora. The winner became the husband of Lionora, the loser, however, became the cousin Oldrada as his wife.

The village Sant'Agata Feltria is located inland, only 50 minutes from Rimini. The stalls along the streets offer for connoisseurs white and black truffles! Both types of truffles come from the hills between Romagna and the adjacent region of the Marche.Apart from the truffles also other typical autumn products from the area are offered: mushrooms, honey, chestnuts, herbs, wonderful cheeses from cow-, goat- and sheep's milk.
