Rural Safety

Proposed implementation timeline

2011/2012 Communication of the strategy through the following actions: * Presentations to the JCPS Cluster and NATJOINTS * Issuing of a JOINTS Instruction Presentations to the respective PROVJOINTS * Testing of the operational concept at identified priority police stations (Harrismith in the Free State and Tsolo in the Eastern Cape)

2012/2013 * Building a crime prevention capacity at 40 identified priority rural police stations with the highest incidence of stock theft and acts of violence on farms and smallholdings * Provincial work sessions * Implementation at rural police stations identified by provincial commissioners based on ability/capacity
