A Knight to Remember Two actors from hit TV show ‘’ caused a stir when they came to school to work their magic with drama and media students.

Former student Tom Hopper left Ashby School in 2003 to attend Rose Bruford College in London. Since then, he has appeared in ‘Dr Who’ and the film ‘Tormented’ before landing the part of Sir Percival in prime time BBC show ‘Merlin’.

Tom returned to Ashby School in October, bringing fellow cast member Rupert Young. The two worked with drama students and gave a talk to Year 10 media students about working on set.

Teacher Julie Norley said: “Having two cast members in the school created a bit of a frenzy as students lined up to get their autographs and photos of the stars.” Merlin stars Tom Hopper (right) and Rupert Young The Ashbeian
