It's so easy to present Daisy Dee as a "multi-talented" breaking-hearts woman. In fact, you just need to list all her talents and successes to write down huge press articles. But what is the key to her success ? Well, this singer, songwriter, actress, fashion designer, dancer and TV presenter of 27 years old works a lot ! She works with a 100% concentration at the studio, on stage, on the "set" and at her design studio in order to meet the requirements of the fans, of the colleagues and, the hardest task of all, of herself. She definitely can't be accused of being a little rich kid whose path to showbiz stardom was paved for her from the cradle. Daisy Rollocks, aka Daisy Dee, was born in Curacao. Her main activity is singing. And she's therefore particularly meticulous when it comes to creating her music. You see, her output over the last few years hasn't always been to her complete satisfaction, and now she thinks she's figured out why : "It just doesn't make any sense to create music and all the time 'will it sell?' People should only produce music which they would buy themselves".

It is true that Daisy Dee's former singles received irregular success even if they are all really good and not outmoded. You probably remember her first success "I Got U" in 1992. And after, the long road of ".feat Daisy Dee"'s single from Bit Machine "Somebody Real" with Karens Jones to U 96 "Love Religion" & 's last album with and Black Baron from ARS Belgium. So as you can see Daisy tried several countries (USA, Italy, Holland, Belgium) before finding a real and deserved recognition in Germany. Indeed, in 1996 "Just Jump" was the single that made everything goes fast in her carrier : European success, presenter of VIVA TV weekly Dance show "Club Rotation" since September 96 and one of the major selling artist of Edel Records Germany.

The right working atmosphere is also extremely important. She is currently working "among good friends" on new material at the Booya Music Studios, run by her long-term companion, Toni Cottura (Fun Factory, Nana, N'Sync, Marky Mark, etc.). Their first product is the single, "Hey You (Open Up Your Mind)", come out on 28 July 1997. This track reminds one far less of efforts with earlier partners than of the pop productions of a certain Babyface, who for years has been among Daisy's personal heroes.

With her sassy raps superimposed on a smooth, swinging R&B beat and cleverly interwoven with a dangerously catchy hookline, this single will set seriously high standards against which upcoming releases will be measured (planned are collaborations with Nana, The Free frontman Charles Simmons and Toni Cottura). The video of "Hey You (Open Up Your Mind)" was shot in Gotenburg (Germany) on the 24/25 of June 1997 by "Revolver Music Video". But those who know Daisy also know this: she's not going to dissappoint anyone. So if you don't know yet Daisy Dee's singles, have a look at her "music archive", listen to the samples, and BUY her CDs!

Daisy married Toni Cottura from Fun Factory in October 1997. Congratulations ! Dance is one big family ;-) In Spring 1998, Daisy appears in the Pappa Bear's video "When The Rain Begins To Fall", a groovy cover of Jermaine Jackson's ?s single. She is not singing in it, she is just dancing.
