Middle and high school students are invited to create fun memories with friends at Poolside Teen Jam events planned this summer. Hosted by Lively Pointe Youth Center, the Teen Jams combine music, food, friends and water into a party atmosphere. Admission is free for students with a valid IPAR card or school ID. Concert and Fireworks The evening concert and fireworks begin at 6 p.m. at 501 E. Las Colinas Blvd. The celebration features popular DJ Chris Brown and a performance by The Argyles, a talented dance band led by Tje Austin, a finalist on NBC’s “The Voice.” The Fun Zone offers free water attractions, including an obstacle course, giant slip-n-slide and water slide, as well as dry attractions. Swim attire is not required, but do not forget a towel. The event also includes a large food court. New this year, the grand finale fireworks display will be shot from a barge in Lake Carolyn. Do not miss this special show, seen only in Irving at 9:30 p.m. Event parking is $10 at participating area parking garages; admission is free.
