MEDIA CENTER

A media center staffed by personnel from the Pro Football Hall of Fame will be located inside McKinley High School that is approximately 400 yards from the Hall of Fame. Please enter the Media Center through Door C (on south side of the high school). The Media Center will be open from Wednesday, July 31 through Saturday, Aug. 3.

Please present any Enshrinement Week Powered by Johnson Controls credential to gain entrance to the Media Center.

Media lots for the Enshrinement and Game are located at nearby locations off campus. Shuttles will be provided from the lots to a drop off point located conveniently at the stadium.

HOURS FOR THE HALL OF FAME MUSEUM The Pro Football Hall of Fame Museum is open seven days a week. Summer hours through Labor Day are 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Special hours will be in effect during the 2019 Enshrinement Week Powered by Johnson Controls (July 31-Aug. 4):

PRIORITY PASS Guests will have the option of buying a priority pass during Enshrinement Week Powered by Johnson Controls that allows them expedited access into the Museum, the Hall of Fame Gallery, “A Game for Life” immersive holographic experience, and the Theater. All of the attractions will be in high demand due to the large crowds that are on hand over the week.

The priority passes will be available Thursday, Aug. 1 through Sunday, Aug. 4 and each pass will be day specific. The pass will allow the pass holder priority, one-time entrance during the museum’s hours to each of the above-mentioned attractions. Priority passes are $99 per day and are available for purchase online in advance at: www.profootballhof.com/connect/enshrinement-headquarters/

MALL OF FAME The Mall of Fame, including a spectacular Hall of Fame merchandise tent, is located in the Hall’s main parking lot and offers a wide variety of products related to the 2019 Enshrinement Week Powered by Johnson Controls, the Hall of Fame and NFL gear.

NFL’s 100th- Season Kicks Off at the - 6 - 2019 Enshrinement Week Powered by Johnson Controls (Aug. 1-4) ProFootballHOF.com/Tickets HOF FUN FEST & BUD LIGHT BEER FEST The fifth annual HOF Fun Fest will be held on the Pro Football Hall of Fame’s campus. The HOF Fun Fest is FREE, FAMILY FRIENDLY and OPEN TO THE PUBLIC from Thursday, Aug. 1 through Sunday, Aug. 4 and starts at noon daily.

The Fun Fest stage will be hosted once again by Megan McCrea from Q92 WDJQ. Live entertainment will include performances by several musical acts such as: DJ Impulse with Sparky B, Tricky Dick & The Cover-ups, DJ Fresh and Match City.

There will be appearances from the , Broncos and Ravens Cheerleaders. Inflatables will be available for children of all ages and are provided by FUN Services of Akron, . In addition, there will be numerous other games, contests and give-a- ways every day. Fans can also enjoy Chalk Talks with Gold Jackets (a term used to reference living Hall of Famers) on Saturday, Aug. 3.

Bud Light Beer Fest takes place on the Hall of Fame’s campus adjacent to the HOF Fun Fest and the Mall of Fame shopping extravaganza. Beer Fest features one location and over eight selections of beer and spirts (Anheuser-Busch products). There will be another section that will feature beer from Royal Docks Brewing Company (Canton) and wine from the Gervasi Vineyard (Canton). The exclusive, limited addition Class of 2019 Beer Stein is available only at the Bud Light Beer Fest and Beer Stations on-campus.

PUBLIC PARKING Parking is available at the Stark County Fairgrounds on Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday. Parking at the Fairgrounds is $10.00 per car with a $3.00 charge per person to ride the Hall of Fame Shuttle. There will not be parking available at the Stark County Fairgrounds on Friday, Aug. 4. NFL’s 100th- Season Kicks Off at the - 7 - 2019 Enshrinement Week Powered by Johnson Controls (Aug. 1-4) ProFootballHOF.com/Tickets FOOTBALL & ART The Eleven, a $2.2 million public art project of ArtsInStark and the Pro Football Hall of Fame celebrates the greatest moments in pro football history. The seventh installment of the project, “” Banner Mural and Sculpture created by Heather Bullach, a portrait and landscape artist who graduated from Malone University in Canton, will be unveiled on Friday, Aug. 2 at 4 p.m. The location of the unveiling is at Phoenix Rising Building (624 Market Ave North, Canton, OH 44702).

CLASS OF 2019 The addition of the eight members of the Class of 2019 brings the number of professional football greats who have earned the sport’s highest honor to 326 members. Full bios, stats, fact sheets, and clippings for the Class of 2019 can be found on the Hall of Fame’s media site.

EXCLUSIVE FRATERNITY It is extraordinarily difficult to earn election to the Pro Football Hall of Fame. There was an incredibly large number of possible combinations for the Class of 2019 when the 48- person Selection Committee met in Atlanta on the eve of Super Bowl LIII. The exact number of possibilities on “Selection Saturday” for a class of four, five, six, seven, or eight was an astonishing 38,564.

SELECTION PROCESS TIMELINE FOR THE CLASS OF 2019

• Aug. 17, 2018 – JOHNNY ROBINSON was selected as the Finalist in the Senior Category. The Senior Committee reviews the qualifications of those players whose active careers have been completed for at least 25 years.

• Aug. 23, 2018 – PAT BOWLEN and GIL BRANDT were selected as Finalists in the Contributors Category. The Hall of Fame’s Contributor Committee considers persons who made outstanding contributions to professional football in capacities other than playing or coaching.

• Sept. 13, 2018 – 102 Modern-Era Nominees were announced.

YOUTH INITIATIVES

PLAY FOOTBALL “FIRST PLAY” Hall of Famers LEM BARNEY, , JOE DeLAMIELLEURE and will join a record number of participants at the annual Play Football “First Play” on Wednesday, July 31 to kick off the 2019 Pro Football Hall of Fame Enshrinement Week Powered by Johnson Controls.

A chain of nearly 4,500 children will pass a football along a three-mile route, starting in downtown Canton where the NFL was founded in 1920 to the front steps of the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

NFL PLAY FOOTBALL SKILLS CAMP For the fourth year straight, the Pro Football Hall of Fame and the NFL host the NFL Play Football “Skills Camp” at the National Youth Football and Sports Complex at Johnson Controls Hall of Fame Village. The camp is geared for children ages 11-14 and will feature football activities that are designed for all skill levels and led by local high school players and college coaches and players. Gold Jackets will be on the field to assist and encourage camp participants. A special component to the camp will be a panel discussion that will take place with Gold Jackets and other special guests on the values of the game. Gold Jackets in attendance will be: MEL BLOUNT, TIM BROWN, , and WILL SHIELDS.

HUDDLE FOR HEALTHY YOUTH The Huddle for Healthy Youth will be the second National Huddle under the NFL’s Huddle for 100 initiative. In honor of the NFL’s 100th season, the League is inviting fans, players and teams to join Huddle for 100, an effort to inspire one million people to volunteer 100 minutes of their time to make meaningful contributions to their communities. The NFL and the Pro Football Hall of Fame will bring local youth together for a series of volunteer events focused on promoting a healthier lifestyle – both mentally and physically. The week of volunteering will support physical activity and character education to empower youth in Northeast Ohio’s most underserved neighborhoods and inspire them to live healthier and happier lives.

PLAY FOOTBALL HIGH SCHOOL DAY Tuesday, July 30 from 1 to 3 p.m. Play Football High School Day takes place at McKinley High School. The event focuses on educating and inspiring local players and coaches. Attendees will engage with current NFL players, NFL Legends coaches and other leaders in the sport. Moderators will lead breakout sessions focused on the values associated with playing the game of football, the NFL Way to Play, coaching and career opportunities in the sport business industry.

HUDDLE FOR HEALTHY YOUTH: YMCA BAG PACKING EVENT AT THE ERIC SNOW YMCA Wednesday, July 31 from 1 to 3 p.m. A three-part volunteer event will engage 200 youth from the Dr. Leonard King Group in , Ohio. It will take place at the Eric Snow YMCA in downtown Canton where participants will rotate between three stations of character-building activities, including assembling health bags for underserved local youth, an NFL Play 60 Clinic led by coaches from USA Football and InSideOut high school students, as well as, a Character Education Talk with Joe Ehrmann, Shawn Crable and Hall of Famer JOHN RANDLE.

HUDDLE FOR HEALTHY YOUTH: SOUTH EAST COMMUNITY CENTER BAG HANDOUT AND PLAY 60 CLINIC Thursday, Aug. 1 from 12 to 2 p.m. Health bags will be distributed at the South East Community Center in downtown Canton to 500 youth residents from nearby Stark Metropolitan Housing Authority (SMHA) units. Youth recipients will participate in a character-building community clean-up activity at the park across the street from the Community Center, as well as, an NFL PLAY 60 Clinic led by USA Football coaches and InSideOut student volunteers. Pro Football Hall of Famer, WILL SHIELDS, will be in attendance as well as the Atlanta Falcons cheerleaders and mascot.

HUDDLE FOR HEALTHY YOUTH: BOYS AND GIRLS CLUB OF MASSILLON BAG HANDOUT AND PLAY 60 CLINIC Friday, Aug. 2 from 1 to 3 p.m. Health bags will be distributed at the Boys and Girls Club of Massillon to 500 youth residents from nearby SMHA units and neighborhoods surrounding the Club. Youth recipients will participate in a gardening project to beautify the center, as well as an NFL PLAY 60 Clinic led by USA Football coaches and InSideOut student volunteers. Broncos Cheerleaders and both Denver Broncos official mascots and will attend the event.

SMHA YOUTH AND FAMILY AT THE ENSHRINEMENT CEREMONY Saturday, Aug. 3 from 6 to 11 p.m. Following the week of events, the Pro Football Hall of Fame in partnership with Stark County Education Department and Johnson Controls are providing admission and transportation to 1,200 youth and family members from (SMHA) neighborhoods in Massillon and Canton for the 2019 Enshrinement Ceremony.

HALL OF FAME ACADEMY COMES TO CANTON Enshrinement Week Powered by Johnson Controls will also feature the best in high school football with an announcement of the nation's top overall high school player and his selection to the biggest prep football game in the world.

Saville Smalls, a 6’3”, 230-pound outside from Kennedy Catholic High School in the state of Washington will be announced at the Hall of Fame Game as the nation's top prep by the Pro Football Hall of Fame Academy. Smalls is in the class of 2020 and has attended the Pro Football Hall of Fame Academy twice. He currently holds 31 scholarship offers. He is also the first athlete selected to the 2019 Pro Football Hall of Fame World Bowl Presented by Xenith that will be played in December.

Two lifetime award winners will be honored during the Enshrinees Gold Jacket Dinner on Friday, Aug. 2 and presented their awards during the Enshrinement Ceremony on Saturday, Aug. 3.

PETE ROZELLE RADIO-TELEVISION AWARD: DICK EBERSOL The award has been presented annually by the Pro Football Hall of Fame since 1989 to recognize “longtime exceptional contributions to radio and television in professional football.”

Ebersol’s imprint in television broadcasting included more than 20 years as the head of NBC Sports. He was named the president of the division in 1989, elevated to Chairman of NBC Sports & Olympics in 1998, and assumed the title of Chairman of NBC Universal Sports &

Olympics in 2004 when NBC and Universal merged. He became Chairman of NBC Sports Group in 2011, his final year with the network.

In 2005, Ebersol created “Sunday Night Football” (SNF) as NBC returned to covering the NFL. He, along with Bowlen, Commissioner , and NFL Executive Steve Bornstein, worked to land the new Sunday Night package on NBC. It became the first sports series in history to be a Top 10 show since its inception. In 2011, SNF became the first sport series ever to be the most watched prime-time show for an entire television season which began a record, and still active, run of eight consecutive years of earning that distinction.

In all, Ebersol led the production of six Super Bowls and eight Olympic Games and was involved in an additional four Olympics.

THE DICK MCCANN MEMORIAL AWARD: SAM FARMER The Dick McCann Award is given by the Pro Football Writers of America to “a reporter who has made a long and distinguished contribution to pro football through coverage.”

Sam Farmer is in his 25th year of covering the National Football League and 19th for the . He has had a wide variety of assignments such as traveling to Israel with 18 members of the Pro Football Hall of Fame, climbed Mt. Rainier with NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell, sat alongside and John Madden in the “Monday Night Football” booth, traveled with an officiating crew and piloted the Goodyear blimp.

He started at the Times after college, covered the University of Washington football and basketball programs at the Bellevue (Wash.) Journal-American, then the NBA’s Seattle SuperSonics at the Valley Daily News in Kent, Wash. He moved on to the San Jose Mercury News, where he was an Oakland Raiders beat writer for five seasons before he returned to the Times in 2000.

EMCEES Legendary broadcaster Chris Berman will return for the 20th time to emcee the Enshrinement Ceremony on Saturday, Aug. 3 in Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium. Berman has served in that role every year since 1999 except in 2009 when he was the presenter for RALPH WILSON, JR.

Rich Eisen, host of the Rich Eisen Show and NFL Network anchor, will emcee the Enshrinees Gold Jacket Dinner on Friday, Aug. 2. His NFL Network colleague, Steve Wyche, serves as the studio host as he interviews Hall of Famers throughout the night. NATIONAL ANTHEM SINGERS Maelyn Jarmon will sing the national anthem at the Hall of Fame Game on Thursday night. The 26- year-old artist gained national attention by winning season 16 of “The Voice” in May.

The Frisco, native has overcome challenges in her music career. After damaging her ear drums at the age of two, Jarmon was left with only 80% hearing in her left ear. Jarmon took voice lessons and started musical theater. She moved to at age 17 to give Broadway a shot.

Local artist Elena Flauto, a 16-year-old award-winning singer/songwriter will perform the National Anthem at the Enshrinement Ceremony. She is a 2018 and 2019 Ambassador to Michael Feinstein’s Great American Songbook Academy and Foundation, with only 40 high school students chosen annually from across the USA to study under 5-time Grammy-nominated Feinstein. Flauto recently was a winner at Live Nation’s 2019 national High School Rock-Off competition at the Rock-n-Roll Hall of Fame. She has had her songs played on Cleveland radio stations and has performed the national anthem at Cleveland Indians and Cleveland Monsters games.

CLASS OF 2019 MEMBERS WHO HAVE PLAYED IN THE HALL OF FAME GAME

Since its inception in 1962, there have been 162 members of the Pro Football Hall of Fame who have either played or coached in the Hall of Fame Game. Four members of the Class of 2019 participated in the game: CHAMP BAILEY, TONY GONZALEZ, TY LAW and KEVIN MAWAE.

CLASS OF 2019 LOCKER EXHIBIT The Class of 2019 Locker Exhibit, featuring artifacts from the enshrinees’ lives and careers, opened earlier this summer. Just a few of the artifacts included in the exhibit are Champ Bailey’s NFL Draft Card, Pat Bowlen’s Super Bowl commemorative jackets, Gil Brandt’s Cowboy boots, Tony Gonzalez’s game worn Atlanta Falcons jersey, Ty Law’s Super Bowl XXXVI locker nameplate, Kevin Mawae’s game worn helmet, Ed Reed’s game used cleats and Johnny Robinson’s Legends Award trophy. The exhibit is located in the Interactive Area of the Museum.

PRO FOOTBALL HALL OF FAME DEBUTS “THE INSPIRATION PROJECT” The Hall of Fame launched “The Inspiration Project,” a series of captivating short videos with clips of enshrinement speeches. Hall of Fame Productions, utilizing exclusive content from the Hall’s archives, created “The Inspiration Project” as a way to inspire not only the next generation of football players but the next generation of people around the world.

In addition to the videos appearing on NFL Network, they will be distributed via email to nearly a quarter million high school and college athletic directors and coaches across the .

BLACK COLLEGE FOOTBALL HALL OF FAME CLASSIC IN CANTON OVER LABOR DAY WEEKEND For more than 100 years, Historically Black Colleges & Universities (HBCUs) have faced off in football games featuring the talent of their athletes, marching bands and dance lines. Each Classic is centered around the pride, history and traditions that draws fans from across the country to this highly anticipated sporting event.

The first-ever Black College Football Hall of Fame’s (BCFHOF) Classic is coming to the Pro Football Hall of Fame’s campus over Labor Day weekend. The Alabama A&M University Bulldogs of the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) will take on the Morehouse College Maroon Tigers from the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) on Sunday, Sept. 1 at 4 p.m. in Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium, adjacent to the Hall of Fame Museum.

The Black College Football Hall of Fame Classic will include the schools’ renowned marching bands who will perform at halftime of the game and a special concert from Morris Day & The Time will immediately follow the season opener for the two colleges.

Other exciting festivities over the course of the weekend will include a Drumline & Dance Competition on Saturday, Aug. 31 at noon. On the day of the game, a pre-game Hall of Fame Tailgate Party and
