Role: Executive Producer, VICE and Luxury Group Reporting to: Group Head of Content ______i-D Magazine launched into the UK market in 1980 as the original style title. With an impressive black book of contributors and maintaining its core values for more than 35 years i-D continues to have significant presence and respect in the worlds of fashion, art and culture.

Job Description

As the EP for the VICE Fashion and Luxury Group, you will head up commissioning, development and production across a range programming; from fashion to travel, technology, arts and sports. You will be responsible for continuing to grow VICE’s slate of award-winning digital content and expanding the group’s UK audience.

You will need to be familiar with VICE Media’s past and present output as well as have a good understanding of the fashion video landscape. Most importantly, you will need to demonstrate an interest and understanding of the VFLG brands – i-D, GARAGE and Amuse.

You will need to manage and develop the dedicated in-house digital production team as well as be responsible for attracting new and exciting talent, both in front of and behind the camera.

Responsible for a sizeable commissioning budget, you must be able to think strategically about how best to achieve aggressive targets whilst maintaining high production standards.

You should have experience in managing teams, a good track record of producing documentaries both long and short form and a hunger to explore new mediums and techniques.

Key Responsibilities:

 Making sure all programmes are delivered on schedule and to the highest possible quality.  Alongside the Head of Production, be responsible for planning and managing the digital commissioning budget in line with target output.  Line-manage a large team of producers, AP’s and Researchers – encourage a collaborative environment.  Lead projects from pre-production through to delivery and be ultimately responsible for legal, compliance and contractual decisions.  Work with the Group Head of Content, the editorial team and other Execs to evolve and shape i-D, GARAGE and Amuse’s editorial voice.  Work with the PR and Marketing teams to maintain a coherent release schedule and make sure that the correct promotional and social assets are being created.  Work with other i-D international offices on global strands and global content strategy.  Represent i-D, GARAGE and Amuse at talks and PR events as and when necessary.  Recruit new production talent.  Source new on screen talent.

Other:

 Undertake such other tasks including general administrative duties as may be required from time to time.  Be an ambassador for the business at all times.

The Ideal Candidate:

 Experienced in documentary film-making for a youth market.  Experienced in Fashion and Luxury film production with a specific eye for and taste Fashion and Luxury.  Able to demonstrate success in building a digital video output to targets and leading and managing a team.  A concrete understanding of the production processes, workflow and associated infrastructure.  First class networking skills, a self-starter who is able to work independently yet be part of a focused team.  Commercial awareness.  Video and content experience within a relevant business.  Proven ability to lead & grow an organization in a high-energy, results-focused environment.  A high-performance focus, solid work ethic and a very hands-on nature.  A clear passion and energy for business.  Solid written/verbal communication & presentation skills.  Impeccable personal integrity and business ethics.  Gravitas and exceptional management skills.  An understanding that you have to make things happen yourself and manage the business to make sure you achieve your own objectives.  Entrepreneurial spirit with an ability to work on his/her own initiative.  Willingness to work flexible hours.
