HOW TO GET AROUND From Landvetter Airport

Bus

There is a bus service operating 24 hours a day connecting the airport to the city centre. It takes approximately 25 minutes. The price for a single trip is 95 SEK (€9.50) . A return ticket is 185 SEK (€18.50) . Tickets can be bought on board (card payment only) or at the machines in the airport (see photo) with a Visa or MasterCard or online at: https://www.flygbussarna.se/en/Landvetter . If you take the bus to the city centre you can get off the shuttle at ‘Nils Ericson terminalen’ and take bus 16 from ‘’ direction ‘Eketrägatan’ to the hotel bus stop Eriksbergstorget (approx. 14 minutes).

Taxi There is also a taxi service outside the airport. We recommend ‘Taxi Göteborg’ or ‘Taxi Kurir’. Fixed price from the airport to the hotel should be around 475 SEK (ca €47.50). You are free to use other taxi services but please remember to ask for a fixed price! ‘Taxi Göteborg’ are white cars with a drawing of a taxi driver and the phone number +46 31 650 000 on the side. ‘Taxi Kurir' are dark blue cars with the phone number +46 31 27 27 27 on the side. Public transport Public transport is managed by Västtrafik and it is a same ticket system, meaning your ticket will work for the tram, bus or boat. Västtrafik has a ticket office at Brunnsparken where you can buy a three-day or 24-hour card. You can buy a single trip for 28 SEK (ca €2.80) at the nearest ‘7-eleven’ or ‘Pressbyrån’ shop around the corner from your hotel. Alternatively, you can ask at the hotel. You can buy tickets onboard some of the trams and on all the boats but normally from a machine and not from the driver.

Boat 285 (called Älvsnabben) Taking a boat is a nice way to travel from the city center to the venue from färjelägena , Stenpiren or Klippan. The boats go to Eriksberg at the island . The boat 286 called Älvsnabbare from Stenpiren to Lindholmen is a free of charge but you must walk by the dock in the harbor to the venue, which can take approximately 35 minutes.

WHERE TO EAT There are a lot of restaurants in Gothenburg so it shouldn’t be a problem for you to find a lovely place to eat when you have some free time. In Sweden, we eat dinner earlier than in the south of Europe. It is not advised to go out for dinner after 21.00 as kitchens usually close at 23.00. Most restaurants prefer Visa or MasterCard. It is not mandatory to leave a tip in Sweden but most people add some ‘extra’ on to their bill when paying with card. Here is a list of recommended restaurants:

Taverna Averna (nice place, Italian food and other restaurants nearby) Address: Tredje Långgatan 7 www.tavernaaverna.se

Bee Kök & Bar (LGBTQ friendly with a mixed audience and other restaurants nearby) Address: Kungstorget 13 www.beebar.se

Juan Font (wine bar with nice kitchen) Address: Teatergatan 36 www.juanfont.se

Ölstugan Tullen (local artisanal beer and home-cooked Swedish food) There are 5 different restaurants including typical places locals go and a pub. For example: Långgatan 13 (close to Järntorget) or Mariagatan 15 (take the boat from the venue to Klippan and take a walk via Älvsborgsgatan) www.olstugan.se

Tapas by River Restaurant (close to the venue) Address: Ostindiefararen 61

SHOPS AND OPENING HOURS The Nordstan mall is open weekdays from 10.00 – 20.00 and weekends from 10.00- 18.00. Other stores in the city center can have different opening hours but most of them are open between 10.00-18.00. Don’t miss the design stores around Magasinsgatan if you have some time. In Sweden if you want to buy wine and beer you must go to the Systembolaget, these are the government run alcohol sellers and have many stores in the city.
