Sacraments of Healing Reconciliation-sometimes referred to as or Penance, is a sacrament of healing in the Church. It is a way for people to be forgiven of their sins, or to talk about things troubling their minds. They are reconciled, or brought closer to God. This sacrament heals their soul because all of their sins are taken away, or forgiven. It brings many graces, or and good things, to the person who receives it. Not only does it free us from our sins but it also challenges us to have the same kind of compassion and forgiveness for those who sin against us. We are liberated to be forgivers. We obtain new insight into the words of the Prayer of St. Francis: "It is in pardoning that we are pardoned."

The person who comes to this sacrament must confess, or tell, their sins to a Catholic or bishop. It is private, so no one else hears what the person tells the priest. After that, the person says a prayer that shows they are sorry for their sins. Then, the priest says a prayer to forgive them. Catholic people can come to this sacrament as much as they want. Every Catholic must come to this sacrament at least once a year.

Priests who hear confessions are not allowed to tell anyone what they hear, no matter what. In case of mass penance, anyone who heard what the person told the priest also must not tell anyone what he or she had heard. of the sick- Sometimes this sacrament is called “last rites”, because a lot of dying people receive it. However is only one part of a person’s last rites. It is one of the two sacraments of healing. In the Church's Sacrament of Anointing of the Sick, through the ministry of the priest, it is Jesus who touches the sick to heal them from sin – and sometimes even from physical ailment.

As Catholics we believe the Anointing of the Sick can give comfort to the sick person, give the sick person the courage and strength they will need to go through the pain or suffering of their illness. We believe that it makes the soul and/or body stronger, or at the very least helps the person get ready to live with Christ forever after death. Lastly if the person is too sick to make a confession, it forgives their sins helping them be closer to Jesus before they die.

Anointing of the Sick is done by a priest. The priest brings oil, which are blessed, and rubs the blessed oil on the patient's forehead, and palms of their hands. While he does this, he says the penitential prayer, liturgy of the Word or short scripture passage, and other prayers.
