Trip Start Destination Whakahoro (Click on ‘Whakahoro’ to go to location on Google Maps) Day One 9am Meet Ki Tai Cultural Navigator Team at 9am Unload gear, trailers, waka & all necessary equipment 9.30am River Trip Safety Brief 10am Cultural formalities and embark on the Whanganui River Journey 11.30am Morning Tea (Toilet Stop) at Mangapapa Campsite 12pm Continue river journey towards Ohauora Campsite 1.30pm Lunch at Ohauora Campsite 2.30pm Depart Ohauora Campsite for Mangapāpapa Kāinga 4.30pm Arrive at Mangapāpapa Kāinga 5pm Pōwhiri at Mangapāpapa Kāinga then set up Camp 6.30pm Dinner 7.30pm Karakia (Cultural Sharing Time)
Day One Camping Mangapāpapa Kāinga (Click on ‘Mangapāpapa Kāinga’ to go to location on Google Destination Maps) Day Two 6.30am Wake Up 7am Breakfast 8am Poroaki (Marae Farewell) 8.45am Continue the journey down the Whanganui River 10.30am Morning Tea at Mangawaiti Campsite 11am Depart Mangawaiti Campsite for the Mangapurua Landing 1pm Arrive at the Mangapurua Landing for a walk to the Bridge to Nowhere followed by Lunch. 3.30pm Depart the Mangapurua Landing for Tieke Kāinga 5pm Arrive at Tieke Kāinga for Pōwhiri and set up camp. 6.30pm Dinner 7.30pm Karakia (Cultural Sharing Time) Day Two Camping Destination Tieke Kāinga (Click on ‘Tieke Kāinga’ to go to location on Google Maps) Day Three 6.30am Wake Up 7am Breakfast 8am Poroaki (Marae Farewell) 8.45am Continue the journey down the Whanganui River 11am Morning Tea at Ngaporo Campsite 11.30am Depart Ngaporo Campsite for the Puraroto Campsite for Lunch 12.30pm Arrive at Puraroto Campsite for Lunch 1.30pm Depart Puraroto Campsite for Pipiriki 2.30pm Arrive at Pipiriki for pick up
