Luisa says, “I have been an Iver Heath resident for 20 years moving here from Ealing with my husband and baby daughter. I have been working with BA for 22 years in various roles and during this time I have also brought up three children. All three have progressed happily and safely through Iver Heath Infant and Junior Schools, the eldest have gone on to further education and my youngest is still attending Iver Heath Junior. This by-election has been called following the resignation as Iver Heath Ward Councillor by Julian Wilson who is standing down for personal reasons. Julian has served as a Parish or District Councillor for 20 years and for 10 years was Chairman of Iver Parish Council. Local residents owe Julian a debt of thanks for the considerable work he has put into serving Iver Heath over these years and our thanks go to him.

Well done and thank you to everyone who wrote letters, delivered leaflets, put up posters and attended the Public Inquiry a year ago to voice opposition to this massive housing scheme in Iver Heath. South Bucks District Council spent a significant sum to employ a barrister to represent the local residents and Dominic Grieve MP took time out from his heavy schedule to attend and speak at the Public Inquiry to oppose the application. Rumours of an application to build a theme park on the same land have been spread. Was that an April Fool joke or real we don’t know? But any developer should know this: Iver Heath residents will stand up and speak out to protect its Green Belt from unwanted attention.
