We had a letter from Pakenham Lions Club seeking anyone who would be able to donate hay fodder to their “Lions Need for Feed” project, to pass onto areas affected by this summer’s bushfires. At least 170 farms were seriously affected. ONE of OUR OWN: Trooper Michael “Mick” Byrne (1891-1915).

There are many reasons to remember our fallen servicemen from the First World War. In this centenary year of Gallipoli, which gave birth to the legendary and enduring Anzacs, the following story is to honour family memory and to remember:
