Glory of God tends to lose its biblical force. But this glory, like the sun, is no less blazing and no less beneficial— because people ignore it.

Mark this, then, you who forget God, lest I tear you apart, and there be none to deliver! -Psalms 50:22 What is God’s glory, and how important is it? GLORY

In simple terms the glory of God is the holiness of God put on display.

The GLORY of God is the infinite worth of God made manifest.

Notice how Isaiah shifts from “holy” to “glory”: “Holy, holy, holy is of hosts; the whole earth is full of his glory! -Isaiah 6:3)

When the holiness of God fills the earth for people to see, it is called glory. POINT 1 THE BASIC MEANING OF HOLY SEPARATED FROM THE COMMON

he holiness of God is His infinite “separation” from all T that is common.

“Holy” is what makes Him the infinite “one of a kind” like the rarest and most perfect diamond in the world only there are no other diamond-gods.

GOD’S UNIQUENESS

As the only God, His “Godness”— makes Him infinitely valuable, or holy.

A more biblical definition of Glory: God’s glory is the outward radiance of the intrinsic beauty and greatness of His manifold perfections.

Father, glorify me in your own presence with the glory that I had with you before the world existed -John 17:5 The glory of God” is how we designate the infinite beauty and the infinite greatness of the Person who was before anything else.

This beauty and greatness exist without origin, without comparison, without analogy, without being judged by any external criterion.

God’s glory is the all-defining, absolutely original standard of greatness and beauty. All created greatness and beauty comes from it and points to it, but such things do not comprehensively or adequately reproduce it. POINT 2 FOR GLORY TO (OF) GOD ALONE CREATED FOR GLORY

oli Deo Gloria, we are in desperate need of God’s Glory. S Humanity was literally created for the Glory of God.

7 everyone who is called by my name, whom I created for my glory, whom I formed and made. - Isaiah 43:7

Creation it’s self declares God’s Glory

The heavens declare the glory of God; -Psalm 19:1

Everything Jesus did was for the Glory of God. Even knowing someone would die without his intervention. Remember what he said of his friend, Lazarus’ death.

3 So the sisters sent word to Jesus, “Lord, the one You love is sick.” 4 When Jesus heard this, He said, “This sickness will not end in death. No, it is for the glory of God, so that the Son of God may be glorified through it.” -John 11:3,4

AS CHRISTIANS, EVERYTHING WE DO SHOULD EXEMPLIFY THE GLORY OF GOD. 31 So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all to the glory of God. -1 Corinthians 10:31

WHATEVER you do, Soli Deo gloria - for Glory to (of) God alone. POINT 3 FIRST AND FOREMOST GOD IS FOR GOD

od’s supreme concern is with himself. His saving G works, his grace, his damnation of sinners, his unfailing love, all of it has to do with one thing, him.

Clearly, the motivation behind everything God does, even those things that benefit us, are ultimately done SHOW HIS GLORY.

GOD FORGIVES OUR SINS FOR HIS OWN SAKE. I, I am he who blots out your transgressions for my own sake, and I will not remember your sins._ (Isaiah 43:25)

EVERYTHING THAT HAPPENS WILL REBOUND TO GOD’S GLORY.
