How to switch on JavaScript

This document provides step-by-step guidance on how to switch on JavaScript in most of the commonly-used browsers.

Internet Explorer 1. On the menu click on the "Tools" icon and select "Internet Options". 2. In the "Internet Options" window select the "Security" tab. 3. On the "Security" tab click on the "Custom level..." button. 4. When the "Security Settings - Internet Zone" dialog window opens, look for the "Scripting" section. 5. In the "Active Scripting" item select "Enable". 6. When the "Warning!" window pops up asking "Are you sure you want to change the settings for this zone?" select "Yes". 7. In the "Internet Options" window click on the "OK" button to close it. 8. Click on the "Refresh" button of the web browser to refresh the page.

Internet Explorer < 9 1. On the web browser menu click on "Tools" and select "Internet Options". 2. In the "Internet Options" window select the "Security" tab. 3. Mozilla 1. On the web browser click on the "Firefox" menu and then select "Options". 2. In the "Options" window select the "Content" tab. 3. Mark the "Enable JavaScript" checkbox. 4. In the opened "Options" window click on the "OK" button to close it. 5. Click on the "Reload current page" button of the web browser to refresh the page.

Mozilla Firefox < 4 1. On the web browser menu click "Tools" and select "Options". 2. In the "Options" window select the "Content" tab. 3. Mark the "Enable JavaScript" checkbox. 4. In the opened "Options" window click on the "OK" button to close it. 5. Click on the "Reload current page" button of the web browser to refresh the page.

Google Chrome 1. On the web browser menu click on "Customize and control Chrome" and select "Options". 2. In the " Options" tab select the "Under the Hood" menu item. 3. In the "Privacy" section click on the "Content settings..." button. 4. In the "Content settings" window go to the "JavaScript" section and select "Allow all sites to run JavaScript (recommended)". 5. Close the "Google Chrome Options" tab. 6. Click on the "Reload this page" button of the web browser to refresh the page.

Google Chrome < 10 1. On the web browser menu click on "Customize and control Google Chrome" and select "Options". 2. In the "Google Chrome Options" window select the "Under the Hood" tab. 3. In the "Privacy" section click on the "Content settings..." button. 4. In the "Content settings" window select the "JavaScript" tab. 5. In the "JavaScript" tab select "Allow all sites to run JavaScript (recommended)". 6. Close the "Content Setting" window. 7. Close the "Google Chrome Options" window. 8. Click on the "Reload this page" button of the web browser to refresh the page.

Apple 1. On the web browser menu click on "Edit" and select "Preferences". 2. In the "Preferences" window select the "Security" tab. 3. In the "Security" tab section select "Web content" and mark the "Enable JavaScript" checkbox. 4. Click on the "Reload the current page" button of the web browser to refresh the page.

Opera • Click on "Menu", hover the mouse on "Settings" then hover the mouse on "Quick preferences" and mark the "Enable JavaScript" checkbox. or • If the "Menu bar" is shown, click on "Tools", hover the mouse on "Quick preferences" and mark the "Enable JavaScript" checkbox.

On the "Advanced" tab click on the "Content" menu item. 4. Mark the "Enable JavaScript" checkbox. 5. In the opened "Preferences" window click on the "OK" button to close it. 6.
