STOP WESTCONNEX Port Botany Botany Bay WESTCONNEX IS NOT THE SOLUTION - IT WILL WASTE BILLIONS AND DESTROY OUR COMMUNITY The Baird government’s $16.8 billion 33km toll road will: • decimate local communities and fail to solve Sydney’s traffic jams • impose huge tolls on tollways which will be privatised • destroy crucial green spaces and produce dangerous air pollution • risk billions of dollars of our money on a project that is fatally flawed Both Labor and Liberal parties support WestConnex Malcolm Turnbull is silent on the excessive cost blow out of WestConnex and the lack of public transport options for this expenditure while the ALP, knowing the devastation it will have locally, is nevertheless supporting it at state and federal levels. “The Greens have always opposed WestConnex. We should be investing in world class public transport not dirty tollroads.” Jenny Leong, NSW Greens spokesperson on WestConnex.

Join the campaign: stopwestconnex.org.au In BEVERLY HILLS, KINGSGROVE, BEXLEY NORTH AND ARNCLIFFE, WestConnex will:

• Result in significantly worse traffic congestion on Stoney Creek Road, , West Botany Street and General Holmes Drive south of the M5. • Locate two unfiltered ventilation exhaust stacks between 30 and 35 metres high in Kingsgrove and Arncliffe, emitting between 800-1000 cubic metres of toxic air onto homes, public schools, childcare centres and sports fields. • Result in the construction of two emergency smoke extraction facilities in Bexley Road South and Arncliffe. • Destroy previous M5 remediation in Arncliffe and turn a large section of the Kogarah Golf Club and March St Reserve into a construction site for years. • Generate approx 110 heavy and 80 light construction vehicle movements per hour in the AM and PM peak periods for years at six construction compounds in Kingsgrove and Bexley Road. • Destroy 1.4 hectares of the critically endangered Clay Plain Scrub Forest and the M5 Linear Park pathway and clear 7 hectares of habitat and breeding habitat for the NSW listed endangered Green and Golden Bell Frog.
