Compiled in the Office of U.S. Programs and Services BUREAU OF EDUCATIONAL AND CULTURAL AFFAIRS This list is compiled primarily for the use of American foreign service establishments and the binational educational Commis­ sions. It includes university-level personnel awarded grants under the Fulbright-Hays Act (P.L. 87-256); it also includes persons re­ ceiving awards under special programs of Public Law 480.

It is intended to facilitate the utilization of the ·grantees for guest lecturing purposes, conduct of seminars, or brief teaching ~ervices between countries participating in the Department's educational ex­ change program. The procedures for arranging these inter-country exchanges are contained in the educational exchange manual (IEX 3, , 1957), The list is presented on an area basis for ready reference.
