Block Rep Meeting — Neighborhood Watch by Dennis Clougherty I would like to intoduce myself: my name is Dennis Clougherty and I currently sit on the Chapman Woods Board in charge of the Neighborhood Watch. I grew up in Chapman Woods and now live here with my wife and children. I have witnessed several changes over the past 20 years. Our once quiet community has lately fallen victim to criminals who steal our possessions and vandalize our properties. It is my intention to mobilize a Neighborhood Watch program, which will help us to thwart crime in our beautiful neighborhood. The first step is to meet with all of the block representatives.O ur meeting is scheduled for July 17th at 8:00 a.m. and it will be held at my home. Post Alarm and a representative from the Sheriff’s office will be there to teach us about effective Neighborhood Watch programs. If the block representative cannot be there, I would like a resident from that block to attend the meeting in their absence. Following our gathering, block representatives and I will schedule meetings to educate and train fellow residents on how to construct a successful neighborhood watch program that will benefit the entire community. I ask for your continued effort in reporting all suspicious activities to the Temple City Sheriff (dial 911), Post Alarm, and to the Chapman Woods Board. Camp Cherry Valley with Boy Scouts by loretta hoffman The weekend of May 14-16th Chapman Woods dads and their sons participated in Camp Cherry Valley. After a ferry ride to Two Harbors in Catalina they enjoyed camping, snorkeling, swimming (albeit the water was very, very cold and there were some some jellyfish also looking to swim!), BB guns, archery, hiking, and campfire and skits. All the boys were from local boy scout troops.

Second time around.

Jesús Arellano began experiencing a familiar sensation. Burning, like indigestion, turned to chest and back pain. He began to sweat. Having had a heart attack three years earlier, Jesús immediately recognized the symptoms.

A local emergency room confirmed his suspicions. Within minutes, Jesús was being transferred by ambulance to Methodist Hospital.
