Lethbridge College is a board-governed public college within Alberta's post-secondary system. Celebrating its 50th anniversary, Lethbridge College was Canada's first public community college. The college provides training to more than 7,000 students with over 50 diverse career areas, offering credentials of achievement, as well as one-year certificate, two-year diploma, apprenticeship, pre-employment training and applied degree programs.

Strengthening post-secondary education is one of the key actions under Premier 's plan to build a stronger Alberta. Other priorities for the government are to govern with integrity and transparency, manage growth pressures, improve Albertans’ quality of life and provide safe and secure communities. -30-
