HIT SITCOM 'MR. YOUNG' GETS READY FOR SEASON 3

Burnaby, BC -- Mr. Young, the hit show on YTV, is getting ready for its season 3 premiere on Oct 28 and audiences can't get enough. The show, which is the first multi-camera TV series to film in front of a live audience in Canada, has been gaining fans and ratings across the globe - a true Canadian success story.

The series, which was created by Dan Signer ("The Suite Life on Deck," "A.N.T. Farm"), revolves around child prodigy Adam Young (Brendan Meyer) who, having completed college at age 14, goes back to high school as a science teacher (instead of working for NASA). There, he reunites with his childhood best friend Derby (Gig Morton), and manages to develop a crush on a student in his class named Echo (Matreya Fedor).

Produced by -based Thunderbird Films, Mr. Young has paved the way for other sitcom style shows in Canada, including the company's Package Deal, about three overly close brothers and the woman who comes between them, which starts shooting on Oct 21 and will air on CityTV.

The show's broad humour has resonated with audiences not only in Canada, where it airs on YTV, and the US, where it airs on Disney XD in the primetime slot, but also internationally, making audiences in Spain, UK, France, Italy, and many other countries, roar with laughter. The show is distributed internationally by Enterprises.

"The success of the show at home and internationally proves that 'funny' knows no boundaries," said Thunderbird's Michael Shepard, "We are looking forward to introducing even more new audiences to the show and making people of all ages laugh."

The show will return for its third season on YTV in Canada on Oct 28.

"We are thrilled to have Mr. Young back for another season," said Jocelyn Hamilton, VP of Original Programming at , "Our audiences fell in love with the show from the beginning and can't wait for more antics and shenanigans in season 3."
