General Auction Rules

1. All sales are final; there will be no exchanges or refunds on items unless specified. 2. Items will be removed the evening of the auction only by showing a receipt for the item at the time of departure. 3. Values of items being auctioned are as stated by the donor, and are not warranted by the Mountain Auction Committee for tax purposes or for general value. The IRS advises that donations are tax-deductible only for the bid amount in excess of fair market value. 4. Unless otherwise specified, all items and services must be used within one year after November 6, 2010. 5. Payment by the successful bidder may be made immediately following the auction in the form of cash, check, VISA or MasterCard. Payment in full is required on November 6, 2010.

Silent Auction Rules

1. The silent auction will open for bidding immediately following check-in. Table closings will be announced during the evening. The closing bid circled by a Mountain Auction official constitutes the winning bid. 2. All items in the silent auction have bid sheets affixed nearby. To bid, write down your bid number and amount on the bid sheet; press hard to enter your bid on the sheets, which are in triplicate. 3. A valid opening bid must equal the minimum bid as stated on the bid sheet. 4. Each bid must be written on the topmost blank line available on the bid sheet. Bid sheets may not be removed from the table or covered by a bidder. 5. Bids must be made in the increments specified. 6. Winning numbers will be posted on the number board. 7. In the event of a dispute, a Mountain Auction official shall act as final authority and determine the winning bidder. Such decision shall be final.

Verbal Auction Rules

1. The verbal auction will begin at approximately 8:30 p.m. and continue until all items in that category have been auctioned. 2. Persons wishing to bid should display their bid number when the auctioneer requests bids. 3. Certain items will require a minimum starting bid, as designated by the auctioneer. Mountain Auction officials reserve the right to withdraw an item if the minimum bid is not received. 4. In the event of a dispute, the auctioneer shall act as final authority and determine the winning bidder. Silent Auction Categories
