“Truly, truly I say to you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the earth and dies,

it remains by itself alone; but if it dies, it bears much fruit.” JOHN 12:24

Most of the time, when you hear something relating to falling, it’s not a good thing-falling down, falling off a ladder or falling down a cliff are examples of this. However, if a poll were taken, most people would elect the season called “fall” to be their favorite one. Humidity is down, temperatures are lower and the colors are out in mass. Do you know that those colors were there all of the time, but were masked by the chlorophyll made by the leaves? During the cooler times, the chlorophyll is blocked from flowing, and the beautiful colors that were already present suddenly show brightly. That is similar to the meaning of the above verse-a seed has to fall down on the earth to bear future fruit but if it doesn’t die, it remains alone. Jesus said that we must die to ourselves before we can be His disciples. Let’s make it a priority to put others first and ourselves last in the days to come — J.O.Y. — Jesus first, then others and finally, yourself. You will be pleased and blessed to see the wonderful fruit it will bear. God bless you, ~ Pastor Randy
