Guadalupe County Habitat for Humanity: P.O. Box 87 Seguin (830) 401-0422. Homes are built for families that qualify. Application and interview process required. Waiting time for services received. Salvation Army: 1017 E. Kingsbury Street Seguin (830) 401-4872 Open Monday-Friday 9 am-1 Pm. Provides help with clothing, utility bills, gas, bus tickets, and motel vouchers for the homeless.

Transportation

Connect Seguin-Alamo Regional Transit: Bus departs from downtown every hour 7:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday thru Friday. Bus stops include: downtown, Wal-Mart, HEB, and Texas Lutheran University. Wheelchair accessible. Pricing: $1.00 regular fare, $0.50 for students and seniors (60+)

Adult Education/Job Training

Workforce Solutions Alamo Center: 1500 E. Court St. Suite 444 Seguin (830) 379-4244 Monday- Thursday 7:30 am-5:30 pm Friday 7:30 am-5:30 pm. The goal of the program is to help the individual find full-time employment. The goal is accomplished through program activities, which includes life skills, GED, ABE, classroom training, and on the job search training. Gary’s Job Corp for free education for those 25 and under is now available to apply for at the Workforce. Goodwill Industries Inc. Job Help Center: 1431 E. Court St. Seguin (830) 372-0586 Monday-Friday 8 am- 5 pm. Thrift store, employment training work experience, and transitional employment. Referral needed from Texas Department of Health and Human Services, Temporary Aid to Needy Families, or Texas Workforce Commission.

South Texas Pregnancy Center: 975 W. Court St. Seguin (830) 303-2151 Monday 9 am-4 pm Tuesday 2 pm-4 pm Wednesday 9 am-4 pm Thursday 10 am-5 pm Services provided include confidential pregnancy and sexually transmitted disease testing, pre-natal, newborn, and toddler care education. Baby clothing, diapers, formula, and other baby items and supplies. Services are free of charge for those who qualify. Must have a form of identification.

Services offered include crisis assistance, information and referral, food assistance, holiday giving program, prescription drug assistance, funeral assistance program, grief support, and annual memorial service, sibling support groups, Autism parent education and prevention services. The Guadalupe Family Violence Shelter also provides vouchers for residents and non- residents of the program.

Nazareth House Children’s Resale Shop: 708 N. Guadalupe St. Seguin Monday, Friday, Saturday 9:30 am-2:30 pm Resale shop provides gently used, donated clothing, shoes, and other items for all needs of children up to age 12.
