REPORT ON PTA EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE MEETING FOR THE YEAR 2020-21

PTA general body meeting was held on 7th December 2019 and the election for PTA executive committee members 2020-21 was conducted. PTA president of our college Dr. Sr. Magie Jose, our principal. Nominated members are Sri. R V Ramakrishnan and Sri. Babu K A. Faculty members Sr. Dr. Meena K Cheruvathur (Treasurer), Smt. Shiny V K (Secretary) and Dr. Deepa G Muricken.  Six executive committee meetings were held during the academic year 2020-21. Due to the present scenario of Covid 19, meetings were held in online mode after the Covid lock down. PTA members actively participated in the executive committee meetings and gave support and suggestions every now and then.  PTA contributed Rs. 25000 for purchasing mobile phones for 15 students to attend online classes. `  PTA suggested ideas for platinum jubilee celebration for socially relevant problems.  PTA gave instructions for safe entry of students to the campus during Covid time college reopening.  A fund of Rs. 200,000 was contributed by PTA for sports students hostel accommodation.  PTA contributed Rs. 125,000 towards platinum Jubilee Student scholarship for the upliftment of 75 students in need.  A smart class room is becoming necessary for smart education. In this point of view our college put forward the idea of cent percent smart classrooms as part of Platinum Jubilee celebrations. PTA contributed Rs. 75,000 by sponsoring a smart classroom for the college.  A fund of Rs. 15,000 was contributed by PTA for student projects and the amount was dispersed among 3 PG science students.

PTA actively participated and gave suggestions and support in upcoming NAAC visit, platinum jubilee celebration, hostel activities and other functions carried out in the college.
