Having now completed 23 seasons 1 NCAA Semifinals Appearance behind the Cornell bench entering the 2018-19 season, he has clearly accomplished 2003 that objective by guiding the Big Red to the NCAA tournament 11 times, including a 5 ECAC Hockey Tournament Championships berth in the NCAA Frozen Four in 2002-03, the program’s first since 1980. 1996, 1997, 2003, 2005, 2010 Schafer is Cornell Hockey’s second-longest tenured coach, while his 450-254-93 4 ECAC Hockey Regular Season Championships record has him as the winningest coach in Cornell men’s hockey history.
