The Epiphany School Foundation Annual Review 2014-2015

Making a Great School Greater FROM THE CHAIR | KEVIN GREANEY

Dear Friends of The Epiphany School Foundation,

Providing over 127 years of Catholic Education, The Epiphany School continues to maintain its reputation as one of the top Catholic schools in City for many reasons. Its high academic standards and Catholic values based curriculum are the backbone of Epiphany’s success. As members of The Epiphany School Foundation, we support The School by raising much-needed funds. The Foundation raises about 1 million dollars annually and all funds raised are returned to The School in several ways. These funds continue to help fund educational programs, RealTouch Display TVs in each classroom, the iPad program, professional development for teachers, and financial aid and scholarship programs for those in need.

We do not do this alone. We attribute our success to the generosity of our parents, grandparents, alumni, friends, corporations and the hard work and dedication they provide to this community that makes Epiphany a model school. We thank you for your support and with your help, we see enormous possibilities ahead of us.

Involvement is key. There is one thing I ask of parents, and that is to get involved in at least one of the events hosted by The Foundation. These community- building events include The Walk, The Hall of Fame, The Car Raffle, The Spring Auction and The Golf Outing. And, last but not least, the most important way to support The School is through our Annual Fund, which runs year round.

An education at Epiphany costs about $8,000 annually per student, and we are committed to keeping our tuition affordable. The Foundation helps supplement the cost of tuition, which is why we rely on community support to ensure a well-rounded student body.

When making donations to The Foundation, please check with your Human Resources Department to see if your company offers matching gifts. Your donations can easily be doubled or even tripled with many corporate matching gift programs. These gifts can make a huge difference in our ability to fund top of the line educational programs and tools that prepare your children for acceptance into the top high schools in .

I wish you all a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year, and I hope FINANCIAL HIGHLIGHTS 2014-2015 to see you at one of our upcoming Foundation events. Thank you to all of our families and friends for their continued, generous support. Total Revenue Total Donations Sincerely, $837,432 $407,892

A Proud History of Working Together!

The Epiphany School The Epiphany School was founded in 1888 to provide the highest quality education to the school-age children of The Epiphany Parish. Today, The School educates approximately 575 students, serving a diverse socio-economic population, who live in all areas of and the outer boroughs. We remain committed to education of the highest quality and are guided by our mission: to educate the whole child spiritually, intellectually, socially, emotionally and physically. Fundamental to this mission is developing children with a strong moral and ethical character who will contribute to society in meaningful ways. The Epiphany School Foundation The Epiphany School Foundation was established in 1999 to raise funds for The School. This tax-exempt, charitable foundation was founded to enhance the children’s educational experience and the faculty’s teaching environment. These goals have been achieved over the years by funding programs that The School cannot cover through tuition alone. The Foundation remains dedicated to promoting growth and innovation through these programs.
