Telethon 2021 EVENT OVERVIEW The 37th Annual Telethon presented by The GIANT Company took place June 7-10 on WGAL8. All funds raised benefit equipment, patient programs, and pediatric research at Penn State Health Children's Hospital.

Throughout the week, Telethon segments highlighted stories of children who have received life-saving care, including Miracle Champion Joella of Lewisberry. Joella is a 5 year old who has VACTERL Association and other conditions. She needed 15 surgeries before she was six months old. As the 2021 Miracle Champion, Joella designed this year's telethon shirt which is given to donors who pledge $35 monthly or give a one time gift of $420.
