Elamkunnapuzha-Kunnathuparambil Family has a rich history of around 200 years and traces its origins to a small village called Elamkunnapuzha in Ernakulam District. It was at that time one of our ancestors migrated from Elamkunnapuzha to a small village called Vennoor, near Mala in Thrissur District for his livelihood. In the past 200 years our family has had a remarkable growth and the members of the family have spread worldwide. Currently the family has got around 150 families in and around Vennoor. Over the years there was no proper linkage and co-ordination between members and an attempt was made to unite them under a common flag. With this intention, the members of family, a group of forward met under the leadership of Mr. E.J. Thomas in 1995 December and discussed about the necessity of having a common forum for the family members, where they can get together, communicate, support and encourage each other. This meeting selected a Committee with Mr. K.T. Jose as convener, to co-ordinate the future activities. With the continuous efforts of this committee, the first Annual Family Meet has held on 14th January, 1997 at St. Marys Parish Hall, Vennoor. From then on every year the Family Meet has been conducted in a grand way with varied cultural functions by its members.
