UCLA will make the short jog down Interstate 5 to take on Cal State Fullerton in the Fullerton Regional, while OSU, which will host its fourth super regional since 2005, clashes with Big 12 Champion Kansas State. Like their Pac-12 counterparts, neither Cal State Fullerton, the No. 5 national seed in the tournament, nor Kansas State has lost a postseason tilt in 2013. OREGON, which set a program record with 48 wins this year, saw its season come to an end on Monday after falling to Rice in a winner-take-all bout in the Eugene Regional. The Ducks and Owls split decisions on Saturday and Sunday to set up Monday’s elimination game. ARIZONA STATE, which opened the Fullerton Regional with a gutsy victory over New Mexico, ended its postseason run with a 6-1 loss to host Cal State Fullerton. The region’s top-seed, Fullerton also dealt the Sun Devils a heartbreaking 1-0 loss on Saturday. UCLA junior !rst baseman Pat Gallagher and Oregon State sophomore out!elder Dylan Davis picked up Most Outstanding Player honors in their regional tournaments, while 13 other Pac-12 players were selected to the four all- regional teams. The Conference, headlined by Stanford senior right-hander Mark Appel, will be well represented in the 2013 MLB Draft, which begins on Thursday.
