Mandatory Insertion of Passenger Contact in PNR

Dear Business Partner,

Greetings from Pakistan International Airlines!

Despite various reminders and clear instructions it has been noted that travel agents are not providing passenger's contact in the PNR. This causes serious problem in informing passengers through SMS/Telephone calls in case of schedule change/disruption.

We are reminding you that it is mandatory to feed Passenger mobile numbers (both origin and destination) in the PNR. Also feeding land line number of passenger or agent is not enough as SMS does not go on land line numbers.

Passenger's Contact Number and Email Address are to be inserted in the PNR using following commands:

If any passenger mishandling occurs due to non-compliance of above procedure than agent will be responsible for all passenger damages and claims. Airline reserve the right to impose penalty on the agent that do not comply with these instructions.

IATA agents are also advised to distribute this circular to all of their non-IATA ticketing / booking agents to avoid any complaint.

Trade Circular – Rebooking & Cancellation procedures for passengers travelling to/from Manila/Clark

Dear Industry Partner,

Due to eruption of the Taal Volcano impacting Manila (MNL) and Clark (CLK), Emirates will be offering below rebooking options for tickets issued on/ before 12 January 2020 and travelling till 12 February 2020 (within 1 month from the date of incident).

Rebooking:

• Passengers can change their flights within 7 days of the original travel date. • EK will not provide onward transportation or booking beyond the preferred destination.

Refund:

• Offer refund if passenger is not willing to travel. All refund charges are waived irrespective of the fare brand. • Refund option is only applicable for passengers travelling 1 month from date of incident (12 January 2020 - 12 February 2020), outside this period refund charges will be applicable as per fare rules.

Booking and Ticketing procedure:

• Update the PNR remarks with General waiver code ROGW002 followed by remarks "DUE VOLCANIC ERUPTION" • Ensure passengers contact details are updated. • Any paid ancillary service(s) can be rebooked for Emirates flight(s). EMD should be re- associated to new flights. - For any refunds, please ensure the PNR is updated with code ROGW005 followed by remarks "DUE TO POLITICAL UNREST".

144-HOUR VISA-FREE TRANSIT

Dear Travel Trade Partners,

Citizens from 53 countries and regions of Europe, America, Oceania and Asia with valid certification for international travel, the Third-Country Visa and the interline ticket to the third country or region within 144 hours with settled date and seat can stay in for 144 hours without Chinese Visa when entering from Baiyun International Airport, Bao’an International Airport and Jieyang Chaoshan International Airport. The transit passengers must leave China from one of the 32 open ports in Guangdong province.

“Eligible foreign passengers with completed Immigration Card for Foreigners, valid certification for international travel, the Third-Country (region) Visa, ordered interline ticket within 144 hours and hotel booking order can go to the 24/144- hourwaiting area at the arrivals border inspection” in China Immigration Inspection for application.
