THE WINTER CEREALS DEVELOPMENT PLAN REGULATIONS – CHECK-OFF COLLECTION Order No. 11/11. The SASKATCHEWAN WINTER CEREALS DEVELOPMENT COMMISSION, pursuant to the provisions of The Winter Cereals Development Plan Regulations and The Agri-Food Act, 2004, hereby determines and orders as follows: 1 Upon final settlement made to producers, each buyer shall deduct a check-off of $0.50 per tonne of the net tonnes total sale of winter cereals marketed. 2 All producer marketings are subject to the check-off. 3 All buyers who: (a) purchase winter cereals from a producer; or (b) acquire winter cereals from a producer for sale on the producer’s behalf shall deduct the check-off amount from any proceeds payable to the producer. 4 Each buyer shall forward to the Commission office all check-off moneys collected and a completed Commission-provided form requiring the following information: (a) the amount of winter cereals obtained from the producer; (b) the amount of check-off being paid on behalf of the producer; (c) the name, mailing address and e-mail address (if applicable) of the producer; and (d) the producer’s Canadian Wheat Board identification number (if applicable). 5 Subject to any Commission instructions, any buyer who collects a check-off shall pay the amount of the check-off collected to the Commission within 55 days from the end of the month during which the check-off was collected. 6 When the check-off is not deducted by a buyer, the producer shall be held liable for the payment of the appropriate check-off to the Commission. 7 Order No. 05/06 – Check-off Collection is hereby wholly revoked. SASKATCHEWAN COLLEGE OF PHYSICIANS AND SURGEONS — REGULATORY BYLAW AMENDMENTS The College of Physicians and Surgeons Regulatory Bylaws are amended by deleting paragraph 2.9(b) and substituting the following: “(b) Until July 31, 2012 the Council may issue a locum tenens permit to a physician who: (i) produces documentation that he/she is a graduate in medicine from: 1. a university approved by the Council, and has obtained the M.C.C.E.E., M.C.C.Q.E.1, F.L.E.X., N.B.M.E. or U.S.M.L.E. qualification or has passed such other examination of general medical knowledge as the Council considers is equivalent to one of those examinations; or 2. until April 1, 2011, the College may grant a locum tenens permit to a physician who has not passed one of the examinations referred to in paragraph 1 above, but who meets the requirements for licensure as they existed on June 1, 2009. (ii) produces evidence, in a form and manner that may be prescribed by the Council that he/she has: 1. a minimum of one year postgraduate training approved by the Council including eight weeks in each of Medicine, General Surgery, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, and Paediatrics in order to carry out a general practice locum; or 2. appropriate specialty training approved by the Council in order to carry out a locum in a specialty; or 3. meets the requirements for postgraduate training contained in paragraph 2.4(c) of this bylaw; and (iii) provides proof, to the satisfaction of the Council, that he/she is the person named in the documentation and is of good character”.
