The Puck Shall Not Pass: Minnesota State sophomore goaltender Calla Frank faced a fl urry of shots, stopping 52 pucks, when the Mavericks faced Ohio State on Jan. 22. The sophomore netminder's total ranks second in the nation for saves in a single game in 2020-21. St. Cloud State's senior netminder Emma Polusny sits just behind Frank in third on the national saves in a game list. The Huskies captain made 50 stops against Minnesota Duluth on Dec. 5 to earn her fi rst spot on the leaderboard. She also sits at ninth after making 45 saves against Minnesota Duluth on Jan. 29. Two other WCHA goaltenders also rank in the Top Ten for saves in a single game. Bemidji State's Hannah Hogenson made 48 saves in a single contest this season as the Beavers netminder registered her 48 stops against Ohio State on Jan. 2, and Bemidji State's Kerigan Dowhy registered 46 saves against Minnesota Duluth on Ja. 22.
