ADDRESS______CITY / ZIP CODE______News: Parish & Community 8 One of the most popular and best known Christian books on devotion is THE IMITATION OF CHRIST by Thomas A Kempis. RCIA encourages participants to deepen their relationship with the Lord. Other than the Gospels and the entire New Testament, THE IMITATION OF CHRIST is one of the most important Christian books that will stretch and pull the reader to reflect seri- ously upon their baptismal commitment. Consider placing the book on your summer reading list. For more information about RCIA contact Fr. Mike at 314-962-5955 or RCIA director Pat- rick Stack at 314-565-9143.

ANNUNCIATION PARISH CHILDREN’S LITURGY OF THE WORD IS BACK! INTERESTED IN SENDING YOUR 4-7 YR OLD CHILDREN TO CHILDREN’S LITURGY? Liturgy of the Word is a special liturgy available at 10:00 am Mass. Each week a theme that correlates to the Sunday readings and Gospel is presented to the children using age appropriate materials. The adult catechists incorporate prayer, song, group discussion, worksheet, and other activities so the children can relate the Word of God to daily life. The children depart from the front of church after a blessing from the priest prior to the first reading, gather in the school building for the lesson, and return during offertory. “Helpers Needed” This “helper” role takes no preparation time and you really don’t even have to do anything during the lesson ex- cept be present. Please contact Jamie Mealey via phone or email for more information, we would love to have you join us! 314- 753-9460 or [email protected] The Sponsors Who Appear On This Bulletin.
